Jesus explained to his friends the significance of his action of washing their feet. A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also wash each other’s feet.

Maundy is the ceremony of washing the feet of poor persons or inferiors. Washing one another’s feet means serving one another, helping one another, bearing with one another, forgiving one another in the daily trenches of life. It’s an unselfish, humble, serving life. Just as when Jesus did it, it requires taking the initiative. It always requires humility.

The title of this work may be a mistake. This work is obviously not about washing of feet. It is about something completely different but I’m not sure what yet. This work requires more attention before I can come to any sort of interpretation. There is something obviously missing… to be continued…
